Burano, Italy (one of the islands by Venice) is such a colorful place with the building being painted bright colors. I thought that silk dyes would be a good medium to use to try to capture the feeling. This is stretched and framed in a simple black frame.

Hi Nancy, Is this meant to be Borano in the Venetian lagoon or is it somewhere else in Italy (e.g., Barona in Lombardy)? The Venetian Borano is an amazing island and was the subject for one of my paintings a few years back.
